Coast Guard bills advance

AS A GLOBAL cyber-virus continued today to spook Washington, the US Senate Commerce Committee has passed a bill that would authorise $9.5Bn for 2010 Coast Guard upgrades.
The bill and another that would give the US Maritime Administration power to co-ordinate US port infrastructure schemes will now move to the Senate floor for a full vote.
